The terms “You” or “Your” in this Privacy policy refer to the user and/or subscriber of our MetaMeds website and/or mobile application (“Platform”). We strive to exercise reasonable care and caution in the protection of information we receive while accessing and/or use of our products and services provided through the Platform. We are the registered owner of the domain www.metameds.in (“Website”) as well as the mobile application Meta Meds, available in Play store and App store (“App”), which are collectively referred to as “Services”.
These Platforms are owned, managed and operated by our Company and this Privacy Policy applies to the collection, storage, usage, processing and disclosure of your personal data, personal information, sensitive data, sensitive information and credentials (“Information”). The scope of this Privacy Policy covers the Information received of the patients or users and/or others in connection with using the Platform and/or Services (“End user”) and explains how we use, share, disclose and protect information about the users of the services including the Practitioners, the End users, and the Visitors of the Platform.
We strongly recommend the users to carefully go through this Privacy Policy prior to using or availing any of our products and/or services.
CONSENT TO THIS POLICY & GOVERNING LAWS
You acknowledge that by accessing and/or availing the services or by otherwise giving us your information, you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the practices and policies outlined in this privacy policy and agree to be bound by the privacy policy. If you use the services on behalf of someone else (such as your child) or an entity (such as your employer), you acknowledge that you are authorised by such individual or entity to accept this privacy policy on such individual’s or entity’s behalf, and consent on behalf of such individual or entity to our collection, use and disclosure of such individual’s or entity’s information as described in this privacy policy.

This Privacy Policy is in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”) read with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011 (“SPI Rules”) and Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (“Intermediary Rules”).
WHAT CONSTITUTES INFORMATION & HOW IT IS USED
While accessing the Platform and/or the Services, you understand that we may require certain personal information from you which enables us to provide you the best services suitable to you. When you access and/or avail the services through our Platform, or through official correspondence of email or through calls, we may ask you to voluntarily provide such information which may be used to personally identify you. Your use of this Platform unconditionally consents to the collection, storage and use of such personal information by MetaMeds.
Accordingly, the information required by us herein might include personal data, personal information, sensitive data, sensitive information and/or credentials provided by you as well as non-personal data. The same may include, but is not limited to, such information which is capable of identifying a person and may include details like name, gender, age, date of birth, occupation, contact number, email address, postal address, data regarding[{{type}} Annotation] your usage of the services and history of the appointments made by or with you through the use of Services, insurance data (such as your insurance carrier and insurance plan), financial information, other information that you voluntarily choose to provide to us (such as information shared by you with us through emails or messages through the Platform) including any images and other documents/files. It may also include information you may choose to provide about your health and well-being, which may include but not limited to details of height, weight, body temperature, blood group, pulse rate, blood pressure rate, oxygen level, blood glucose level, allergies, and medical history. You agree and acknowledge that you are uploading such Information voluntarily and on your own accord. You also agree and acknowledge that Information pertaining to minors is being uploaded voluntarily by their parents or guardians on their own accord. The Platform may enable doctors and other medical professionals and/or third parties (including your phone contacts), if you so permit or voluntarily share with, to access your Information stored with the Platform, whereupon they may collect, store and/or misuse such data. You agree and acknowledge that the Company cannot be held liable for any such collection, storage and/or misuse of such Information.
You acknowledge that the Company may also collect, store and utilize the data that you voluntarily provide to us or our affiliates. You also acknowledge that we may use tools or third-party analytical software to collect, store and use certain non-personal data that does not enable us to identify you. The Company reserves its rights to use and disclose the collected non-personal data in an anonymised way for advertising and/or analytical research purposes which may help us in improving the Platform and the Services.
You acknowledge that you are completely responsible for maintaining the accuracy and the genuineness of the information you submit to us, such as your contact information and medical details. If your personal or sensitive information changes, you may update, correct, rectify or delete inaccuracies, or amend the information by contacting us at contact@metameds.in. If you provide any information that is inaccurate, false, out of date or incomplete (or becomes inaccurate, not applicable, out of date or incomplete), or MetaMeds has reasonable grounds to suspect that the information provided by you is inaccurate, false, out of date or incomplete, we may, at the sole discretion of our Company, discontinue the provision of the Services to you with due intimation to you regarding the same. You further understand and acknowledge that the Company is not responsible for any incorrect or erroneous information given by you which may affect your experience of the use of the Platform or the Services. If you have inadvertently submitted any such information to MetaMeds prior to reading this privacy policy set out herein, and you do not agree with the manner in which such information is collected, processed, stored, used or disclosed, then you may access, modify and delete such information by using contacting us.
You understand that you may also withdraw your consent to the use of your Information and discontinue accessing the Platform and/or the Services at any point of time. You understand that once such consent is withdrawn, the Platform might not be able to provide or may choose to discontinue to provide you the services where such consent is mandatory.
DATA RETENTION AND MANAGING YOUR INFORMATION
You acknowledge and agree that the Company shall collect, store and retain your Information for such time as may be necessary to provide the services availed by you through the Platform or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, enforcing our agreements, resolving disputes and as long as processing and retaining your Data is necessary and is permitted by applicable law. You understand and agree that the Information so collected by us will be used only for the purposes of registration on the Platform and/or subscription to the Services, carrying out our obligations under the Platform and the Services, provide you with the services on the Platform, verify your identity to prevent frauds and credit risks, and communicate with you from to time in relation to the Platform and the Services. You acknowledge even after deletion of data, the same may be retained on backup or archival media for audit, legal, tax or regulatory purposes for a longer period of time as necessary.
You understand and consent to MetaMeds making the user information available and accessible to its employees, agents or partners and third parties on a need-to-know basis, subject to the fact that our employees are bound by obligation of confidentiality and non-disclosure, except to government, regulatory, and judicial and quasi-judicial authorities. You understand that MetaMeds may collect, share and retain information with third party doctors who are associated with the Platform, as a part of the services provided and availed by you. You agree that we may disclose or transfer your personal or sensitive information to any third party as a part of reorganization or a sale of the assets, division or transfer of a part or whole of us. We shall ensure that the third party to which we transfer or sell our assets shall maintain appropriate confidentiality and security measures, and to adhere to the security measures as described in this Privacy Policy at the minimum. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any such transfer if the new entity’s processing of your information materially differs from that set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Not with standing the above, you acknowledge and agree that MetaMeds is not responsible for the confidentiality, security or distribution of your Personal Information by our affiliates and third parties outside the scope of our agreement. Further, MetaMeds shall not be responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of any third parties or events that are beyond the reasonable control of our Company including but not limited to, acts of government, computer hacking, unauthorised access to computer data and storage device, computer crashes, breach of security and encryption, poor quality of Internet service or telephone service of the User etc.
You understand that MetaMeds does not control or endorse the content, messages or information found in the Services provided involving third party contacted through the Platform and, therefore, MetaMeds specifically disclaims any liability with regard to the Services and any actions resulting from your participation in any Services with third parties, and you agree that you waive any claims against our Company relating to same, and to the extent such waiver may be ineffective, you agree to release any claims against our Company relating to the same.
SECURITY
Your information is contained within secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of authorized persons who have access rights to such systems or otherwise require such information for the purposes provided in this Privacy Policy. These authorized persons are also under an obligation to keep such information confidential.
You understand and agree that we take all reasonable care and caution including physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that are of the highest industry standards to safeguard the privacy of your Information. By use of this Platform, you acknowledge and agree to the following declarations.
- I understand and acknowledge that Personal and Sensitive Information is being collected by the Platform.
- I understand and agree to the purpose for which my Personal and Sensitive Information is being collected.
- I understand and have knowledge of the intended recipients of the information, including third parties associated with the Platform.

- I understand that I also have an option to withdraw my consent given earlier and understand and accept that MetaMeds shall have the option not to provide the services for which the said information was sought at its discretion.
- I understand and consent that my non-personal data can be used by the Platform for the purposes of advertising without my express consent as long as the information does not personally identify me.
- I understand and agree that MetaMeds would not be liable for the security breach by third parties contacted through their Platform.
- I read and have understood this Privacy Policy and all other policies governing the usage of the Platform.
- I acknowledge and agree that all the information provided by me to the Platform or its affiliates are voluntary and are true to the best of my knowledge.
